Natural Attractions
Western Grey Kangaroos
Being inside State Forest and right next to agricultural lands, it comes as no surprise that there are plenty of kangaroos living in and around Lake Navarino Holiday Park. The green grassy areas of the park therefore become quite an attraction for the wildlife, much to the delight of the other two-legged and usually more intelligent visitors.
Bird Watching
More than 80 bird species including parrots, wrens, honey-eaters, finches, whistlers, pigeons, raptors and numerous water birds, reside in and around Lake Navarino for all or part of each year.
Bush Walking
There are a number of bushwalks in and around the resort that can be explored and enjoyed by everyone and part of the old Bibbulmun Track is still in existence and has been reopened for public use as part of the Munda Biddi Trail.
Other tracks include the following:
Waroona Heritage Trail (walk or drive)
King Jarrah Track, Lane Poole Reserve (18km loop)
Island Poole Walk Trail, Lane Poole Reserve (1.5km loop)
Wildflowers
The surrounding forest provides beautiful displays of wildflowers which burst into dazzling displays of colour after winter rains.
