There's plenty to See and Do

The lake is surrounded by state jarrah forest, which abounds with wildlife and native flora. There are bushwalking trails and authorised vehicle tracks around the lake giving widespread public access.
The water body covers 145 hectares (320 acres) when full and is 211 metres above sea level. When the lake is full, approximately 80 hectares (175 acres) of water is available for skiing. Information on skiing regulations can be obtained from any office of the Department of Fisheries & Marine

fisherman.jpg (23977 bytes) The lake is regularly stocked with Brown & Rainbow trout. There are also Redfin Perch and freshwater lobsters known as Marron in the lake. Fishing is permitted during the various gazetted seasons and licenses are required. Information on fishing and licenses can be obtained from any Western Australian Office of Fisheries or Australia Post.

Trout fishing season is from the 1st September each year through to 30th April. Not only can you fish at Lake Navarino, the Murray River, Sampson Brook, Drakesbrook Weir and Lake Brockman are all 10 - 30 minutes from here making Lake Navarino Forest Resort the ideal base to have that fishing holiday.
