The recent work on the Waroona Dam wall meant that the
reservoir had to be completely drained. The Department of Fisheries as well as
volunteers removed as much of the fish stock as possible just prior to the
draining. Since completion of the work a structured re-stocking plan has been
commenced. Starting with juvenile marron in Nov 2003. The lake has been
restocked with trout in 2004 and also 2005. Marron fishing will also be
available from January 2006.

fishing is at its best from the start of the season, September 1st, until the water starts
to warm up with the onset of summer. The gentle sloping shores of the lake make for very
relaxing fishing. |
