As a result of poor winter rainfall in 2010, last year the water level in the dam dropped to just 4.35%  by the end of the irrigation season in April 2011. During the winter & spring last year the level rose to just over 32%

UPDATE 16/02/2012 The lake has been open for water skiing for over 5 months this season and the level is now approaching the closing point. According to the irrigators, Harvey Water say we should expect that water skiing will be available for approx 1 more week. Harvey Water have always been mindfull of the importance of recreation at Lake Navarino and try to manage water levels so as to maximise the availability to water skiers.
